Why would you like to win the Miss Showgirl Awards?
I would like to win the local Miss Showgirl awards to represent the town that I have grown up in. Cloncurry will always hold a very special place in my heart and so I would like to tell others of this and give back to the community.

Why would you like to win the Miss Showgirl Awards?
Cloncurry and the Cloncurry Show have always been a part of my life as I grew up, and I believe the show is a very important part of the local community. By taking part in the 2010 Miss Showgirl competition it will give me the opportunity to support the show, help to promote it and I believe I will gain valuable opportunities from the competition. I am proud to be a local within the Cloncurry community and would be honoured to have the opportunity to represent my district at a Regional and State level.

Ambitions: My ambition in life is to work for Compassion Australia or Caritas, which focuses on "releasing children from poverty" and "providing them with an education". Children are our communities great resources, so we need to train them to make a difference.
Why would you like to win the Miss Showgirl Awards?
As a Miss Showgirl entrant I would like to illustrate to the rest of Australia that the Cloncurry Show is the "Best in the West". With its range of sections, from the cooking to cattle, it shows the extensive variety that Cloncurry has to provide. Although Cloncurry has been listed as one of the hottest places in Australia, the hidden places that are in and around Cloncurry, like the Chinamen Creek Dam and the historical Mary Kathleen Park, really show that there is more to Cloncurry than just the heat! Cloncurry is a town that provides opportunities and friendliness like no other town. As a teacher I have found that it is quite easy to develop networks and partnerships, as the community is more than welcome to help. Therefore, I have developed a strong network within the community, which I am still developing today. I have an outgoing personality, which strives for success and happiness. My ambition in life is to make a difference, and if a smile can brighten someone's day, then I have achieved it. I am an enthusiastic learner, and with my knowledge surrounding Cloncurry, the 31st Cloncurry Show, the government and general affairs, I believe I have the confidence and elegance to carry the title of the Cloncurry and Districts Show Society Miss Showgirl 2010 with pride, to show we are the "Best in the West".

Why would you like to win the Miss Showgirl Awards?
I would like to win the 2010 Miss Showgirl Awards to inspire other people to let their hair down and have a go at anything. I am also doing the 2010 Miss Showgirl for the experience, normally I would shy away from having to meet new people but I can see that the activities involved in Miss Showgirl will assure me that it's not all that hard. But most of all to help the community.
