                 A message from the committee -

Due to Covid restrictions we are not able to run a full show this year. If you are familiar with our grounds, the available space and size of the facility has severely hindered our ability to incorporate our usual entertainment and display features.

We are looking forward to hosting Trade Sites and Food Vendors who would like to trade at our show. 

This year’s event will feature the Main Pavilion, Cattle section with a Cattlemen's Night on the Friday night which will be held at the Show grounds, along with the Showmen’s guild and some featured Children's entertainment that will be operating on both Show Days with the Fireworks/Demo Derby on the Saturday night.  

Our Show day hours will also be a little different this year, Show days will start at 11am each day and close 5:30pm on the Friday (June 11), with a separate ticketed event to be held in the arena from 6:30pm till 11:30pm. All Trade sites and Food vendors will have the opportunity to trade during these hours if they wish. Saturday (June 12) will close around 8pm.

Please note that restrictions may fluctuate during the coming weeks leading up to the 2021 Cloncurry & District Show and that changes may occur. Once your application is received you will be notified of any changes directly via email.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID 19 REQUIREMENTS:

Stallholders must satisfy all COVID-19 requirements that are applicable in the lead up to, and on the days of the show. 

The Cloncurry Showgrounds operates in conjunction with any COVID-19 requirements applicable at the time. Patrons must follow these rules: 

  1. Do not come to the Cloncurry Showgrounds if you are feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms similar to COVID-19.

  2. Adhere to physical distancing requirements i.e., 1.5m apart from people not from your same household.

  3. Wear masks if you cannot adhere to the physical distancing requirement.

  4. Sanitise hands frequently.

  5. Sit down to eat and drink. 

  6. Adhere to maximum capacity signs when entering buildings.

  7. Leave the showgrounds if you feel unwell throughout the day or start to exhibit symptoms similar to COVID-19.

  8. Get tested before you come to the showgrounds for peace of mind.

Stallholders must have their own COVID safe plan in place for their stall and provide a copy to the Society prior to the show. COVID safe plans must follow the key COVID safe principles relating to COVID screening, physical distancing, sanitiser, signage, entry/exit points, footmarkers, etc. 

Stallholders must also: 

·     Sign into the showgrounds on arrival using the QR codes available and answer any COVID screening

      questions on each day of the event.

·     Ensure that their stall is set up in a manner that prevents or manages pedestrian queueing and ensures no        cross over of pedestrian walkways.

·     Provide their own sanitiser and signage and other consumable items relating to their COVID safe plan.

·     Promote contactless payment methods.

·     Not offer self-service to food or beverages.

·     Not have tables and chairs set up near their stall.

·     Operate their stall in a COVID safe manner. 

 

Due to Covid Requirements, space between sites will be consistent with regulations at the time of the event.

 

 

IMPORTANT: ELECTRICAL SAFETY REQUIRMENTS

 

As per requirements please be advised that:

  • Anyone intending to bring electrical equipment to the Showgrounds will be required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with residual current protection (with rated residual current <30 mA) and that all electrical leads, tools and appliances have been inspected by a licensed electrical contractor and are currently tagged. The tag must be within the next test due date. The use of double adaptors and piggy-back plugs is prohibited and all power boards must also be tested and tagged. Domestic power boards are not to be used in an outside situation unless specifically approved for this purpose.

YOUR BOOKING WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED UNTIL PAYMENT IS COMPLETED.

                 

The Site Cancellation policy is outlined in the conditions and will remain the same unless the event has to be fully cancelled due to Queensland Health directives, a full refund will be given if this occurs.
